Bail-in of depositors and retail bondholders

What it is
Resolution powers that write down or convert into equity uninsured deposits and bank bonds held by households instead of using public money.
Why it counts
Savers above the insured limit, or retail holders of bank bonds, absorb bank losses directly, and the threat of bail-in pushes them toward insured deposits and government paper.
